On International School Meals Day 2025, TASS hosted a webinar on the topic of sustainable school food in collaboration with ProVeg UK – a food awareness organisation working to transform the global food system by replacing 50% of animal products with plant-based and cultivated foods by 2040.
ProVeg UK ’s flagship programme, School Plates, helps schools to serve healthy, climate-friendly meals by increasing the quality, quantity, and uptake of plant-based food as well as promoting more plants and less meat on menus. In this webinar, you will hear from Colette Fox, Public Food Lead at ProVeg UK, to find out how small changes can make a big difference to the health of our children and the planet.
In the last four years, Colette has worked directly with every type of school caterer and setting across the UK to support their meat-reduction efforts and help them to increase plant-rich dishes. She also co-created ‘The Recipes’, the first plant-based school recipes resource to meet the much-needed demand for low cost, low carbon, and nutritionally balanced plant-based recipes.
