Watch the full recording for our webinar with the School of Environmental Leadership (SEL) below!
Located in San Rafael CA, the school’s purpose is to transform public education by building leaders for a just and sustainable world, through an innovative model which is sustainability-focused, equitable, and centered in rigorous, interdisciplinary project-based learning.
Our speaker was Brianna Glanzman, project coordinator at SEI: Strategic Energy Innovations, a nonprofit environmental consultancy in San Rafael. She is the project lead for the Marin School of Environmental Leadership and supports a variety of projects within the Energize Schools team to bring sustainability and climate science connections and education to school communities and Climate Corps Education Outside Fellows. Brianna has also worked in environmental education with several nonprofits and is an alumni of an AmeriCorps program.
It was fascinating to hear about SEL’s focus on interdisciplinary leadership and environmental learning through the 4C’s – Collaboration, Communication, Critical Thinking, and Creativity – a model that fosters design-thinking and entrepreneurship amongst its students.
