We are thrilled to welcome Prince of Wales Island International School (POWIIS) as the newest Founding Member of The Alliance for Sustainable Schools.

Pictured above on stage is the Principal, Mrs Dinah Hawtree, with the Executive Student Leadership Team at the recent ceremony the school held for the signing of the Sustainable Schools Charter in the presence of 500 students and staff members.

Based in Penang, Malaysia, POWIIS is committed to reducing the impact of its operations, and preserving the local natural environment of the island it is situated on.

Among many other initiatives, the school has set targets to become a zero waste school!
