For students, school is our main community that we can contribute back to, and it shapes our future habits. Beyond the tremendous environmental benefits that sustainable practices have, these efforts also reinforce equity and global responsibility towards preserving our resources, as climate change disproportionately affects vulnerable communities. Schools have a responsibility to instill both environmental and social awareness in students, shaping them into conscientious global citizens. Every person can ensure that they are only using as much as they need and make their small contribution, which collectively will help sustain resources for the future.

As student ambassador, I am eager and fueled by driving change and taking initiative to have a tangible impact. I am honoured to have this opportunity to create a lasting impact, ensuring that future students benefit from local practices and future generations experience less extreme effects of the climate crisis.
