For me, sustainability in schools matters because it is the foundation of long-term environmental change. I believe that sustainability in the future can only be changed by the youth of today. So, by creating an environment where sustainability is not only taught but encouraged, students are able to be more exposed to sustainability. This equips them with the knowledge and skills on how to integrate sustainability in their own lives, creating a more sustainable world as a whole.

Being a TASS Student Ambassador gives me the chance to connect with like-minded students who, like me, are passionate about sustainability and ready to create truly sustainable change. Allowing myself to be surrounded by these pupils gives me a chance to expand on my knowledge of sustainability, broaden my perspective of issues in different schools, and collaborate on innovative solutions to make schools more sustainable.
