At our school, sustainability is a core value that drives our community’s efforts to create a greener future. Recognizing the urgent need to address climate change and environmental degradation, we have implemented various initiatives that engage students, staff, and families in sustainable practices.

Our Green Club, a student-led organization, plays a crucial role in fostering environmental awareness and action. The club operates through departments focused on education, organic farming, and logistics, organizing activities that promote eco-friendly behaviours. The Education Department raises awareness about sustainability through engaging presentations and green news during morning assemblies informing the school community about various environmental issues. Hands-on learning is emphasized in our Farming Department, where students learn organic farming techniques and actively participate in growing vegetables. This immersive experience deepens their connection to nature and teaches valuable lessons about food sustainability.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond the classroom. We organize community events such as environmentally friendly games during our Family Fiesta, collaborative activities with SISHK primary school students, a MasterChef competition featuring our harvested products, and an Interhouse Green Debate competition to engage students and families in meaningful discussions about environmental issues. Educational trips to local ecosystems allow students to explore biodiversity and conservation. We also sell potted plants and handmade crochet items during our Green Day, and the money collected from our green sale will go to WWF charity for their wildlife conservation program.

Through these collective efforts, we strive to instill a sense of responsibility and stewardship in our students. By fostering a culture of sustainability, we empower the next generation to make informed decisions for a sustainable future. As proud members of the TASS community, we aim to enhance our initiatives and collaborate with like-minded schools dedicated to promoting sustainable practices.
