What does sustainability look like at PEA?

PEA recognizes the importance of sustainability and the role it plays in shaping the future of our planet. We are committed to promoting sustainable practices in all aspects of our operations, from our curriculum to our facilities and beyond.

Our curriculum emphasizes environmental education and encourages students to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment. We strive to provide opportunities for students to learn about sustainability and to develop the skills needed to become environmental stewards. Through our programs, students learn about sustainable living practices, such as reducing waste, sorting our waste / E-waste and conserving energy, and are encouraged to adopt these practices in their daily lives.

In addition to our curriculum, we are dedicated to ensuring that our facilities are environmentally friendly. We have implemented various initiatives to reduce our carbon footprint and to promote sustainable practices. For example, we have installed E-waste bins to collect electronic waste responsibly, implemented recycling programs, and reduced our water usage. We also encourage the use of school/public transportation and regular cycling among our students and staff.

We believe that sustainability is not just a buzzword but a responsibility that we all share. We are committed to promoting sustainable practices not just within our school community but also beyond it. We actively engage with our local community to promote sustainability initiatives and to encourage others to adopt sustainable practices.

Our social responsibility was evident with celebrations of Earth Day and Environmental Day at the PEA campus. Student groups from all grades participated actively in the activities. Some of the highlights included making compost for plantations, planting trees, designing bird feeders, making water filters and more.

As a school, we recognize that our actions have an impact on the environment and on future generations. We believe that by promoting sustainability, we can create a better future for ourselves and for the planet. We are committed to continuously improving our sustainability practices and to ensuring that we leave a positive impact on the world around us.
