At Omar Bin Abdulaziz School (OBAS), we are deeply committed to promoting environmental sustainability through education, action, and community engagement. Our sustainability vision is rooted in the belief that students are powerful agents of change. Through our dedicated student leadership program, learners take an active role in planning and implementing sustainability initiatives both within the school and in the wider community.

We take pride in serving our environment by participating in nationwide efforts such as tree planting and mangrove restoration, contributing to the UAE’s broader environmental goals. Our students regularly engage in field activities that promote biodiversity and habitat conservation while developing a lifelong sense of environmental stewardship.

Within the school, we are focused on the responsible use of resources. Our community is encouraged to conserve energy and reduce waste through awareness campaigns and eco-friendly practices. These efforts are further supported through partnerships with leading environmental organizations across the UAE, allowing us to take part in collaborative projects and share best practices.

Environmental education is seamlessly integrated into our curriculum. A cornerstone of our environmental education is the creation of the OBAS Forest—a living, outdoor classroom featuring trees and animal habitats planted and cared for by students. This unique space allows learners to explore the needs of plants and animals firsthand, deepening their understanding of ecological systems and interdependence.
