Sustainability at
Noya British School

At Noya British School, sustainability lies at the heart of our mission to nurture responsible global citizens. We are committed to protecting the environment, reducing our ecological footprint and fostering a community that values long-term sustainability.

As Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan said, “We cherish our environment because it is an integral part of our country, our history, and our heritage.” Inspired by his vision, we instil a deep sense of environmental stewardship in our learners, empowering them to preserve the planet for future generations. Our efforts align with the UAE’s Vision 2030, which emphasises sustainable development and environmental protection. We also actively support the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on climate action, quality education and clean water.

By fostering awareness and encouraging action, we prepare our learners to contribute meaningfully to these global objectives. This focus on sustainability connects seamlessly with the principles of High
Performance Learning (HPL), particularly empathy and societal concern. Through initiatives like water conservation, community clean-ups and raising awareness about global challenges, our learners develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, becoming ambassadors of sustainability.

Our partnerships with TASS and the Environmental Agency, Abu Dhabi amplify our impact. These collaborations provide access to expert knowledge, resources and real-world projects, allowing students to engage in meaningful environmental initiatives that create tangible change.

At Noya British School, sustainability is more than an initiative—it is our commitment to honouring the UAE’s heritage, supporting its vision and building a forward-thinking community ready to create a lasting, positive impact on the world.
