A Sustainable Future at NIS

At Norwegian International School, we are committed to sustainability and recognize our role in promoting environmental responsibility and social equity. Sustainability is a core value that is integrated into different areas of our operations to create a culture of sustainability within our community.

To achieve this, we have prioritized sustainability by reducing our energy consumption through the use of energy-efficient technologies and promoting responsible energy use by staff and students. The minimization of waste production through recycling and the practice of responsible waste disposal are common amongst the community. We promote responsible thinking even with our Kindergarten youngest students, and emphasize how to be a good world citizen.

Incorporating sustainability education into our curriculum is also vital in ensuring that our students are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to promote sustainability in their daily lives. Our school recognizes that sustainability is a collective effort, and we are committed to working together with our staff, students, and the broader community to create a more sustainable future for all.
