At ISS International Academy, we continuously explore ways to enhance sustainability in our school community. We believe that small efforts from us can create ripple effects in improving the condition of our planet. Some of our efforts include:
We have installed a water filter system to replace the previous order of water drums stored in plastic containers. We are not providing students with bottled water but encourage them to bring their own water bottles to refill at the water station.
We have set up corners to collect single-sided used papers so that we can reuse these papers. Reusing papers is one of the continuous efforts from ISS to educate the students and staff to reduce printing when unnecessary and reuse papers that have only one side printed.
During lunchtime, food is delivered in single large reusable containers. Reusable plates and utensils are used, and there is no single-use plastic. Students are also encouraged to avoid using single-use plastic for their snacks or meals.
