Sustainability at
Harrow International School Shenzhen Qianhai

At Harrow Shenzhen, we are committed to cultivating responsible global citizens who lead with purpose and integrity. Sustainability is embedded in our school culture, guided by our values of Fellowship, Courage, Honour, and Humility.
Our students actively participate in impactful environmental initiatives, including tree planting and regular coastal clean-ups across Shenzhen. These experiences deepen their understanding of ecological responsibility and strengthen their sense of service to the community.
We have introduced food waste monitoring in both our Lower and Upper School canteens, encouraging everyone to reflect on their consumption habits and make more mindful choices. This initiative promotes a culture of responsibility, dialogue, and sustainability in everyday school life.
In line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), we are raising awareness of key global challenges, such as climate action, responsible consumption, and partnerships for the goals. Students are encouraged to take practical actions—switching off lights, conserving water, reducing paper usage, and recycling—to build daily habits that support a more sustainable future.
