Sustainability at Harrow Hong Kong
At Harrow Hong Kong, sustainability is a shared responsibility rooted in our values of Honour, Courage, Fellowship and Humility. We believe that meaningful change comes through both the small everyday decisions that shape our culture and the ambitious projects that transform our future.
We are committed to empowering our pupils to be environmentally conscious leaders, taking action locally while understanding their role in addressing global challenges. Through initiatives such as our annual Sustainability Week, Sustainability Prefect programme, wellbeing garden with butterfly-friendly planting, clothing bank, participation in the REDRESS Clothing Drive, and student-led campaigns to reduce waste, sustainability is embedded in school life.
Last year, one student team demonstrated the power of innovation and leadership by replacing printed Speech Day programmes with sustainable postcards created from recycled textile waste, significantly reducing paper consumption. Across the School, we continue to drive efforts to minimise printing, reduce waste and encourage more sustainable habits in our daily operations.
At the same time, we are pursuing larger-scale opportunities to reduce our environmental footprint. Over the coming years, we will explore the installation of solar panels, identify ways to reduce energy consumption across our campus, and strengthen sustainable transport through our bus programme.
Our Mission
To inspire and empower every member of the Harrow Hong Kong community to act sustainably each day, reducing our environmental impact through responsible choices, innovative thinking and bold action.
