Fairgreen International School

Sustainability at
Fairgreen International School

Fairgreen International School, founded by Esol Education, is the first sustainability-focused school in Dubai, incorporating sustainability as an integral part of its educational programme. Located in The Sustainable City, the school’s purpose-built campus utilises solar power for its energy needs, recycles its water for agricultural use and implements waste separation and wind energy generation.

Fairgreen follows Esol Education’s 45-year tradition of establishing exceptional schools worldwide, with certified, professional and caring educators, experienced leadership and world-class facilities. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and fully authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO) to offer all four IB programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (IB DP) and Career-related Programme (IB CP) since 2018.

Fairgreen students have access to a dedicated biodome, urban farming facilities and to the TSC Innovation Centre and Junior Innovation Centre for hands-on project-based learning. The school features technology-enabled state of the art classrooms, modern labs for research and food production. Other facilities include a learning hub with art and music labs, swimming pools, multipurpose hall, soccer and basketball fields, playgrounds, a shared bike path and jogging route in TSC.

Fairgreen’s whole-school approach to sustainability is deeply embedded in the school’s curriculum and operations. The rigorous certification process involved assessments, guidance, technical audits, reporting, connections with environmental organisations and sustainability solutions providers. The school’s values, unwavering student engagement, state-of-the-art facilities, and a focus on student wellbeing have together played a pivotal role in earning this accolade.
