At AIA, we believe that sustainability is not only fundamental to our operations but also integral to our educational mission. We strive to instill a deep sense of environmental responsibility in our students, equipping them to become thoughtful, capable sustainability stewards. Our commitment to continuous improvement is reflected in a curriculum that explores a wide range of sustainability-related topics, enhancements to campus energy efficiency, and an expansion of hands-on learning opportunities.

Our current sustainability initiatives showcase our dedication to environmental stewardship and student empowerment. The Biome Competition encourages creativity and deepens students’ understanding of ecosystems through themed explorations. Our Clothes Drive-Thru promotes reuse and responsible consumption, while a campus-wide Waste Management System—featuring clearly labeled bins for recycling, compost, and landfill—alongside the introduction of the Bokashi composting system, helps reduce our environmental impact.

We have launched a Green Classroom, an outdoor learning environment that inspires teachers to bring lessons into nature. In addition, we promote sustainability through the reuse of costumes and Recyling to create props for school productions. Students also engage in recycling art projects and create impactful, student-designed awareness campaigns to spread sustainability messages.

Our PYP Exhibition is centered on sustainability themes, and students take part in Seed Planting Projects and initiatives to increase indoor greenery, learning about plant life cycles and the importance of clean air. Meanwhile, our MYP Green Leaf Initiative empowers middle school students to take the lead in eco-action and drive sustainable change on campus.
