ADNOC Schools Sas Al Nakhl is dedicated to promoting sustainability and environmental consciousness within our student body, staff, and the wider community. Recognizing the importance of global sustainability initiatives, we strive to weave these principles into both our educational programs and campus operations. Demonstrating our commitment to environmental stewardship, we host sustainability weeks each academic term, each aligned with specific Sustainable Development Goals relevant to the term’s theme. Sustainability is a core value in the United Arab Emirates, mirroring our nation’s long-term objectives and cultural identity. At SAN, we are proud to contribute to this national vision through our continuous efforts in fostering a sustainable future.
The annual theme for ADNOC Schools Sustainability is “Innovate, Conserve, Thrive,” emphasizing STEM innovation, sustainability, and national identity. Term 1 focuses on SDG 15: Life on Land, with activities centered around biodiversity, environmental stewardship, and local ecosystem conservation. Term 2 addresses SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, highlighting energy efficiency, renewable energy advancements, and practical projects like energy audits and solar model building. Term 3 is dedicated to SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation, promoting water conservation and efficient usage through engaging activities such as conservation projects and awareness campaigns. This holistic approach fosters a deep commitment to sustainability.
At SAN, community building and training are crucial for sustainability and youth development. By fostering collaboration and equipping students with essential skills, we empower them to take active roles in environmental stewardship. While ensuring staff and students have a strong portfolio of their involvement insides and outside of the school ground.
