Re:wild Your Campus

Re:wild Your Campus is leading a movement to transform campuses into vibrant, sustainable, and safe environments. Starting with these places of living and learning, we are creating a new way of living in sync with nature.
Pesticides are poisonous, and more than 90% of Americans have detectable pesticides in their bodies. These chemicals are devastating to human health and cause catastrophic harm to the environment. That is why we are on a mission to eliminate synthetic pesticides from all college campuses in the U.S. by 2030. We work closely with campus administrators, students, faculty, and local organizations to eliminate synthetic pesticides, implement organic land care, and rewild spaces through projects tailored to each campus’s unique needs and goals. Our educational programmes and training offerings span from workshops for students and community members which explore pesticide use and environmental justice, to our signature hands-on training for groundskeepers that outlines the basics of organic land care.
We are committed to providing viable alternatives and rewilding campuses to improve human and environmental health, foster biodiversity, and fight climate change.
About the Partnership
Re:wild Your Campus, TASS, Metanoia, and Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) are collaborating to enhance biodiversity and green spaces on school campuses in Hong Kong.
Metanoia is a consultancy that specialises in sustainability for schools. They work with students to carry out detailed carbon and sustainability audits (including biodiversity audits) of their schools and teach courses on carbon offsetting, sustainable food, solar energy and carbon literacy.
Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden (KFBG) is an NGO focusing on nature conservation, holistic education and sustainable living, with a nature reserve that spreads over 148 hectares of land in Hong Kong. Established in 1956, it gradually transformed to focus on science-based species conservation and ecosystem restoration, and has become a precious conserved area where the public can experience and connect to nature.
Through the Re:wild Green Grounds Certification, we will support schools to plant native species, certify their efforts to reduce pesticide use, and enhance biodiversity on campus. Together, we can create a lasting impact and inspire change far beyond the boundaries of campus.
